Wise, a global technology company focused on international money movement and management, has expanded its North American office in Austin. The company has tripled its workspace to 90,000 square feet across three floors at the Domain, reflecting ongoing growth in North America and reinforcing Austin’s appeal for technology companies.

The expansion comes as Wise experiences increased demand in the United States for alternatives to traditional wire transfers and more transparent foreign exchange services. With over 700 employees in the country, Wise’s Austin office now accommodates teams from various departments including engineering, product development, marketing, and customer support.

Isabel Naidoo, Chief People Officer at Wise, stated: “The expansion of our Austin office hub is a powerful testament to the opportunity we have in North America. Austin’s dynamic and developing technology landscape serves as an exciting backdrop that will support the Wise team as we continue to build offerings that meet the international money needs of our growing customer base both locally and globally.”

The newly expanded space incorporates design features intended to foster innovation while reflecting both Wise’s global culture and local Austin identity. There are dedicated collaboration areas, quiet spaces, wellness rooms with massage chairs, a multi-faith prayer room, and artistic touches inspired by the city such as ceiling fixtures modeled after the State Capitol building and murals depicting Austin’s famous bats created by employees’ children.

Wise marked this milestone with an event attended by company leadership along with representatives from Opportunity Austin, the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, and the Austin Technology Council. Co-Founder and CEO Kristo Käärmann joined local staff for the celebration. Mayor Kirk Watson also sent congratulations via video message: “Texas is committed to supporting global success stories like Wise as they grow their presence in the US. Wise is a great example of the kind of innovative, high-growth businesses that make Austin a leading hub for tech companies. Its success highlights the strength of our ecosystem – one that fosters entrepreneurship, attracts investments and creates high-skilled jobs. It demonstrates that Austin remains one of the best places to start and grow a business.”

The new location situates Wise within one of Austin’s key innovation centers. The company views this investment not only as increased capacity but also as critical infrastructure for meeting growing customer needs across North America.
