UPLIFT Desk recently partnered with Arrow Child & Family Ministries to redesign the nonprofit’s workspace, aiming to better support its staff and mission. Arrow, which began in Texas in 1992 and now operates across Texas and Maryland, focuses on providing stable placements and tailored services for children in foster care.

The collaboration focused on creating a work environment that would help employees manage emotionally demanding tasks. UPLIFT Desk contributed free design and space-planning services. The project emphasized several priorities: employee well-being, productivity, flexibility for training and confidential conversations, and an overall welcoming atmosphere.

To address these needs, the design included warm wood-tones, sit-stand desks, privacy panels for transitions between private discussions and group work, as well as durable ergonomic furniture to ensure comfort throughout daily use.

According to the release, “Arrow’s commitment to strengthening families is closely connected to supporting the professionals delivering those services. The new workspace reinforces that philosophy by providing staff with the tools, comfort, and functionality needed to sustain long-term mission effectiveness.”

UPLIFT Desk stated its broader goal is “designing work environments that elevate both organizational outcomes and the people doing the work. This project reflects that commitment—building a space that enables meaningful impact, every day.”
