Texas environmental commission approves over $747K in fines for regulatory violations

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties totaling $611,344 against 27 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The agency issued agreed orders in several enforcement categories, including air quality, Edwards Aquifer, industrial wastewater discharge, multi-media, municipal solid waste, municipal wastewater discharges, public water systems, and water quality.

Additionally, the TCEQ executive director approved penalties amounting to $135,720 against 36 entities on January 27.
