TCEQ issues over $500K in fines for environmental regulation violations

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties totaling $373,498 against 13 entities for violations of state environmental laws. The fines cover a range of enforcement categories, including air quality, industrial hazardous waste, municipal wastewater discharge, petroleum storage tanks, public water systems, waste disposal wells, and water quality.

The commission issued agreed orders for four air quality cases, one industrial hazardous waste case, one municipal wastewater discharge case, two petroleum storage tank cases, two public water system cases, one waste disposal well case, and two water quality cases.

Additionally, the executive director approved penalties amounting to $128,597 against 32 entities on November 18.
