TCEQ approves over $570,000 in fines for environmental regulation violations

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties totaling $457,872 against 13 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The commission issued agreed orders in several enforcement categories, including four related to air quality, one for industrial wastewater discharge, two for municipal wastewater discharge, one involving a petroleum storage tank, one public water system case, and two water quality cases.

Additionally, default orders were issued for one multi-media case and one petroleum storage tank case.

On September 30 and October 7, 2025, the executive director approved further penalties amounting to $115,746 against 36 entities.
