TCEQ approves over $500,000 in fines for environmental violations

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) approved $250,498 in penalties against 14 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations during its July 23 meeting. The enforcement actions included agreed orders for violations related to air quality, municipal solid waste, municipal wastewater discharges, and public water systems. Default orders were also issued for multi-media and petroleum storage tank violations.

In addition to these actions, the TCEQ executive director approved penalties totaling $253,560 against 72 entities on July 15 and July 22.
