TCEQ approves over $325,000 in penalties for environmental violations

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved fines totaling $312,001 against 14 entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The penalties were issued in several enforcement categories, including three related to air quality, one involving municipal wastewater discharge, five concerning public water systems, and one regarding water quality.

In addition to these agreed orders, default orders were issued for violations in other areas: one for a petroleum storage tank, one for a public water system, and two related to water quality.

Further penalties amounting to $13,925 were approved by the executive director on August 12 and August 19 against two additional entities.
