The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has approved penalties totaling $1,396,137 against 43 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations. The enforcement actions covered a range of categories, including air quality, industrial hazardous waste, industrial wastewater discharges, multi-media, municipal solid waste, municipal wastewater discharges, petroleum storage tanks, public water systems, sludge, water quality, and water rights.
Additionally, on Nov. 25, Dec. 2, and Dec. 16, the executive director approved further penalties amounting to $279,423 against 88 entities.
