San Antonio highlights family-friendly attractions for weekend visits

San Antonio offers a variety of family-friendly activities for visitors planning a weekend trip. The city features attractions that cater to all age groups, including museums, outdoor spaces, and interactive experiences.

Families can use the San Antonio CityPASS to access several major attractions with bundled admission tickets. Options include the Go Rio San Antonio River Cruises, San Antonio Zoo, Tower of the Americas, The Alamo’s exhibit and church, San Antonio Botanical Garden, Witte Museum, The DoSeum, and San Antonio Museum of Art. According to CityPASS information, selecting four attractions as part of the bundle can provide significant savings compared to individual ticket purchases.

Hopscotch is an immersive art venue in downtown San Antonio where visitors can experience interactive installations and walk through various themed rooms. This location encourages participation from children and adults alike.

For accommodations, families often choose the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. Located on 300 acres outside central San Antonio, it provides amenities such as a lazy river, water slides, family-oriented activities, and evening events like s’mores by the fire.

Dining options suitable for families include Backyard on Broadway. This restaurant offers outdoor seating with games for children and live music in a casual setting. Families are advised that children are welcome until 9 p.m.

Schilo’s is recognized as one of the oldest restaurants in San Antonio with German-Texan cuisine. It serves breakfast throughout the day and has menu items for both adults and children.

Holey Moley presents mini-golf with pop-culture themes designed to entertain visitors of all ages. The facility also includes a restaurant offering a range of meal choices and private karaoke rooms for group entertainment.

Pinstack operates two locations in San Antonio where guests can enjoy bowling, bumper cars, ropes courses, laser tag, arcade games, as well as food service on site.
