Rackspace Technology announced it has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Automotive Competency, a designation that highlights its expertise in supporting automotive companies and their suppliers with digital transformation on AWS.

The AWS Automotive Services Competency is given to AWS Partner Network members who have demonstrated strong technical skills and customer success in delivering solutions across the automotive sector.

“Achieving the AWS Automotive Competency reflects over five years of intensive work with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers worldwide,” said D K Sinha, President, Public Cloud, Rackspace Technology. ” We combine deep industry knowledge with the complete Rackspace Technology portfolio for sustainable mobility solutions of the future.”

Recently, Rackspace Technology worked with a major German automotive OEM to modernize its legacy shopfloor IT systems using AWS. The company implemented an event-driven data pipeline that provided real-time visibility into machinery data on the shop floor. This allowed operators to respond more quickly and streamlined analytics processes. The OEM is now positioned to expand into predictive maintenance as part of Industry 4.0 initiatives.

This achievement builds on Rackspace Technology’s ongoing investment in industry-specific solutions and adds to its portfolio of AWS competencies, strengthening its role as a partner for leading automotive firms.

Rackspace Technology offers end-to-end hybrid cloud and AI solutions. The company designs, builds, and operates cloud environments across major technology platforms for customers at every stage of their cloud journey.
