Rackspace Technology and Palantir Technologies have announced a partnership to provide managed operations for Palantir’s Foundry and Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) in production environments. The collaboration aims to deliver secure, compliant AI deployments from edge to core to cloud, allowing customers to implement AI use cases with Palantir software more quickly.

The companies are working together to run Palantir software within Rackspace’s Private Cloud and UK Sovereign data centers. This is particularly relevant for regulated industries that must meet strict requirements around data sovereignty and compliance.

According to the companies, organizations often find it difficult to gain value from AI and data platforms due to the need for specialized skills in deploying these systems at scale. As part of the partnership, Rackspace will serve as a strategic partner for data migration and global implementation services, helping clients identify high-impact business challenges and deliver solutions through data readiness, hosting, and ongoing managed operations of Palantir’s platform. Currently, Rackspace has 30 engineers trained on Palantir technology, with plans to increase this number to over 250 within a year.

“Organizations need AI that works in production, not just in demos,” said Gajen Kandiah, CEO of Rackspace Technology. “Palantir’s platform, combined with Rackspace’s governed cloud operations and our shared forward deployed engineering approach, enables customers to accelerate time to value and drive competitive business impact with governance and security. This is especially important in regulated industries.”

Rackspace brings 25 years of experience managing enterprise workloads across hybrid environments. By combining this expertise with Palantir’s decision-intelligence platform, the partnership offers a turnkey deployment model designed to reduce risk and operational complexity while speeding up results. The goal is also to give regulated or sensitive-data organizations greater confidence in deploying advanced AI capabilities within private cloud settings that satisfy requirements for sovereignty, security, and residency.

“Organizations that adopt our AI Operating Systems fundamentally change their unit economics. In the context of migrating complex data environments, Palantir AIP is taking completion timelines from years to days. Rackspace will help our customers accelerate their pace of adoption and as a result, lead their respective industries,” said Sameer Kirtane, Head of US Commercial at Palantir.

Unlike point solutions requiring separate management of infrastructure, data pipelines, and AI operations by the customer, this joint offering provides integrated end-to-end infrastructure hosting, data migration services, implementation support, and ongoing managed operations.

Both companies note there are risks involved related to recruiting skilled personnel; delivering services at scale; technical challenges; adoption rates; as well as meeting customer needs or achieving desired outcomes. Further information on these risks can be found in filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
