Rackspace Technology and Uniphore announced on Mar. 10 a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence in enterprises, particularly those operating in regulated industries.
The collaboration is designed to help organizations move beyond experimental AI projects and achieve measurable business outcomes while maintaining governance and control. Gajen Kandiah, CEO of Rackspace Technology, said, “For the first time, enterprises in regulated industries do not have to choose between moving fast on AI and maintaining the governance and control their business requires. Rackspace is taking on that accountability.” He added, “We are not just providing infrastructure, we are committing to outcomes, and that changes the nature of the relationship between a technology partner and an enterprise customer.”
Through this partnership, Rackspace will leverage its expertise in private cloud operations alongside forward-deployed engineers trained on the Uniphore platform. These engineers will be embedded within customer environments to deliver results from day one. The architecture supports both hybrid and public cloud deployments so that organizations with mixed models can access a governed AI stack without compromise.
Umesh Sachdev, CEO and Co-founder of Uniphore, said, “Business AI Cloud adoption is seeing exponential growth globally due to its sovereign and open architecture and what enterprises are telling us is that they need business outcomes. Rackspace’s adoption of Uniphore’s Business AI Cloud allows our customers to access all five layers of our offering spanning Inferencing, Data, Knowledge, Model, and Agents, on Rackspace’s secure and governed enterprise AI private cloud. For customers looking for sovereign AI solutions, this is a game changer.”
Industry analysts also commented on the significance of the deal for organizations facing challenges in scaling up their AI initiatives. David Cushman of HFS Research said it “packs real punch for organizations struggling to get beyond AI pilot mode,” noting that it combines Uniphore’s platform with a delivery model focused on rapid value creation under strong governance. Brian Jones from Valley Medical Center described it as “a significant milestone” for highly regulated sectors seeking robust frameworks for scaling AI.
The companies stated that their joint solution will enable faster transitions from pilot projects to production-scale deployments by providing unified environments across infrastructure layers down to agents. They also highlighted features such as data modernization through Uniphore’s data agents and industry-specific pre-packaged solutions built with governance from inception.
Both companies emphasized their commitment to delivering accountable outcomes rather than just technology platforms. Forward-looking statements included ambitions such as unlocking $100 million in enterprise AI deployments but noted these goals depend on various factors including market demand and regulatory developments.
