NBCUniversal has renewed its exclusive audio partnership with iHeartMedia for the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, which will be held from February 6 to February 22, 2026. Under this agreement, iHeartRadio will provide round-the-clock play-by-play audio channels featuring NBCUniversal’s linear coverage of the event.
The collaboration also includes a new season of the original iHeartPodcast “Two Guys, Five Rings,” hosted by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers. In addition, iHeartPodcasts will release Olympic-themed episodes from some of its popular shows such as “Stuff You Missed in History Class,” “Ridiculous History,” “Dudes on Dudes with Gronk and Jules,” and Malcolm Gladwell’s “Revisionist History.” These podcasts are distributed by iHeartPodcasts and can be accessed via the iHeartRadio app or other podcast platforms.
Aileen Sokol, Vice President of Content Partnership Development at NBC Sports, commented on the partnership: “Coming off the tremendous success we had in Paris, we’re excited to renew this partnership with iHeartMedia and provide fans with the best Olympic audio content. From podcasts featuring stars Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, to daily coverage of all our linear programming, this partnership allows iHeart’s extensive audio audience to hear NBCU’s Olympic coverage away from their televisions and screens.”
iHeart’s play-by-play channels will feature major events including U.S. team ice hockey games, figure skating, speed skating, skiing, snowboarding, among others. There will be a particular focus on Team USA throughout NBCUniversal’s comprehensive coverage.
Michael Biondo, President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships for iHeartMedia said: “We’re eager to build upon our relationship with NBCUniversal and once again deliver premium audio coverage of the Olympic Games, this time focusing on the awe-inspiring athletes and incredible stories set to come from the 2026 Olympic Winter Games. As the leading destination for sports audio, we’re excited to deepen the connection between audiences and the athletes they love.”
Bowen Yang (of Saturday Night Live) and actor-comedian Matt Rogers (“No Good Deed” and “Good Fortune”) will return as hosts for a new season of their Olympic-focused podcast “Two Guys, Five Rings: Matt, Bowen & The Olympics.” Weekly episodes are scheduled to launch in early January 2026 ahead of the Opening Ceremony.
The 2026 Winter Games will take place across multiple venues in northern Italy—from Milan to Cortina—marking Cortina’s second time hosting since 1956. It is also Italy’s fourth time hosting an Olympics overall.
Earlier in February 2025 it was announced that both NBC broadcast network and streaming service Peacock would serve as primary platforms for covering these Winter Games. More details about programming can be found through official channels; information about Paralympic coverage is also available online.
NBCUniversal holds U.S. media rights for all Olympic Games through 2036—including upcoming editions scheduled for Los Angeles (2028), French Alps (2030), Brisbane (2032), Salt Lake City (2034), and another Summer Games in 2036.
NBCUniversal operates across film production/distribution as well as television networks such as NBC Sports and Peacock streaming service; it is a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation.
