IKEA U.S. has launched its first cross-brand retail experience with Best Buy, aiming to make its products and services more accessible and affordable for customers. The initiative began on November 5, 2025, with the opening of IKEA South Austin at Best Buy, located at 4970 W Highway 290 in Austin, Texas.

Through this partnership, IKEA is introducing kitchen planning services to a wider audience by establishing a Plan and order point inside select Best Buy stores in Texas and Florida. The collaboration allows customers to design their living spaces with assistance from IKEA staff while also shopping for major appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, dishwashers, and washer-dryers.

The 1,000-square-foot showroom features kitchen and laundry room settings intended to inspire shoppers. According to the companies, this joint retail approach reflects their shared goal of providing convenient access to home furnishings and appliances in one location. Instead of purchasing items on-site, customers can plan their spaces with an IKEA associate and have products shipped directly to their homes.

The companies stated: “This innovative shared retail experience reflects both companies’ commitment to meeting customers where they are – offering well-designed home furnishing solutions and cutting-edge appliances in one convenient, collaborative retail experience.”
