iHeartMedia has announced the launch of a new podcast, “Sacred Lessons,” hosted by bestselling author and artist Mike de la Rocha. The series will be available on the My Cultura Podcast Network, iHeartMedia’s platform dedicated to Latino voices and stories. The first episode will air on November 10, 2025, with subsequent episodes released weekly on Mondays.
The podcast aims to explore masculinity, healing, and emotional transformation through conversations with artists, athletes, and community leaders. The opening episode features comedian Jerry Garcia, who discusses how comedy helps men embrace vulnerability and how fatherhood impacts his life.
“In a culture that teaches men to hide their emotions, ‘Sacred Lessons’ invites listeners to release, reconnect and heal together,” says de la Rocha. “This show is about remembering that true strength begins with vulnerability and I’m proud to be launching this podcast with iHeartMedia’s My Cultura network to help listeners everywhere on this journey.”
Leo Gomez, head of iHeartMedia’s My Cultura Podcast Network, stated: “We live in a world that needs more spaces for vulnerable conversations. Creating more tools for men to heal isn’t just necessary, it’s how we build a better present and future. That’s why we loved the idea of making this show available through My Cultura, we need more people reflecting on their journeys and being open with others along the way. Having Mike, a legend in his own right, take the mic to help carry this mission forward is an honor.”
Future guests will include cultural influencer Curly Velasquez, author Luis J. Rodriguez, photographer Estevan Oriol, hoop dancer Eric Michael Hernandez, skateboarder Steve Corona, artist Aloe Blacc and others.
Mike de la Rocha is recognized for his work connecting creativity with activism and healing. He co-founded Revolve Impact and Tepito Coffee (with Homeboy Industries), receiving recognition from various media outlets for his influence in art and social change.
My Cultura was launched in May 2021 as part of iHeartMedia’s effort to amplify Latino stories. The network has expanded its catalog over time and now includes more than 60 podcasts across different genres.
