iHeartMedia has announced a new weekly podcast, “Viva Betty: An Ugly Betty Rewatch,” set to launch on October 2. The podcast will be hosted by Mark Indelicato and Ana Ortiz, who played Justin and Hilda Suarez on the ABC series “Ugly Betty.” Produced in partnership with Propagate Content and iHeartMedia’s My Cultura Podcast Network, the show aims to revisit each episode of “Ugly Betty” and discuss its impact.

Each week, Indelicato and Ortiz will rewatch episodes of the television series, reflecting on storylines, characters, and the show’s cultural significance. The hosts will also interview cast members such as America Ferrera, Vanessa Williams, Judith Light, pilot director Richard Shepard, and executive producer Teri Weinberg.

“It’s beyond my wildest dreams to be hosting ‘Viva Betty’ with Ana. I’m so excited to have the perfect excuse to spend even more time with my best friend and catching up with our ‘Ugly Betty’ family,” said Indelicato.

“’Ugly Betty’ was more than just a TV show for me — it was a family, an experience that shaped my life in ways I’ll never forget. Getting to revisit those stories and reunite with the cast and crew who made them so special feels like coming home. I can’t wait to relive the magic with Mark and share it with old fans and a whole new generation,” added Ortiz.

“There aren’t many stories of us in mainstream media that truly and respectfully represent the joy and amazing nuances of being Latino. ‘Ugly Betty’ did that and created an unprecedented impact in American pop culture at large. That’s the power of authenticity. We’re thrilled to partner with Ana, Mark and the team at Propagate to revisit a show that touched so many lives from all walks of life,” said Leo Gomez, head of iHeartMedia’s My Cultura Podcast Network. “At iHeartMedia and My Cultura, we’re committed to supporting Latino storytelling in media and we can’t wait for ‘Viva Betty’ to bring together original ‘Ugly Betty’ viewers while also introducing the show to the next generation of fans.”

The My Cultura Podcast Network began in May 2021 through a collaboration between iHeartMedia and Enrique Santos. Since its launch, it has grown steadily in listenership and now offers over 60 podcasts covering various topics related to Latinx voices. In June, during its fourth anniversary celebrations, Eva Longoria’s Hyphenate Media Group joined Wilmer Valderrama as stakeholders in My Cultura.

Listeners can access “Viva Betty: An Ugly Betty Rewatch” starting October 2 on the iHeartRadio app or wherever podcasts are available.
