Ruby Studio, the branded content arm of iHeartMedia, has launched a new podcast series in collaboration with Audible. The series, titled “Earsay: The Audible and iHeart Audiobook Club,” is designed for fans of audiobooks and immersive audio storytelling. Ed Helms and Kal Penn, both well-known actors with experience in television, film, and podcasting, serve as co-hosts.
Each episode of the limited series will feature iHeartPodcast hosts and special guests discussing their favorite Audible projects. The first episode includes a guest appearance by Jennie Garth, known for her role in “90210” and as host of iHeartPodcasts’ “I Choose Me.” Garth joins Helms and Penn to discuss the Audible Original adaptation of “Pride and Prejudice,” which offers a modern reimagining of Jane Austen’s classic novel.
Future episodes will feature guests such as Randy McKinnon, creator of the Audible Original series “The Prophecy,” a supernatural thriller.
Ed Helms is recognized for his work on “The Office,” “The Hangover” trilogy, and the iHeartPodcast “SNAFU.” He recently published a book titled “SNAFU: The Definitive Guide to History’s Greatest Screwups.” Kal Penn is known for his roles in “Harold & Kumar,” “House,” and “Designated Survivor,” as well as his memoir, “You Can’t Be Serious,” which covers his career in entertainment and public service.
The first episode of the podcast was released on October 9, 2025. New episodes are scheduled to be released every other Thursday. Listeners can access the show via the iHeartRadio app and other podcast platforms. Audiobooks discussed in the podcast, including “Pride and Prejudice” and “The Prophecy,” are available through Audible.
