IAM union members at Atlantic Aviation Teterboro have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement that brings changes to wages, benefits, and working conditions. The contract was negotiated by IAM District 142 and includes wage increases for all levels and classifications, a $1,500 signing bonus, retroactive pay to the expiration of the previous contract, premium increases, sick time buyback provisions, and improvements to vacation accrual as well as language related to surveillance, progressive discipline, and shifts.

“This agreement reflects the power of union solidarity and the commitment of our members at Atlantic Aviation TEB,” said IAM Air Transport Territory General Vice President Richie Johnsen. “This contract was won by the hard work, unity, and determination of our membership.”

The IAM District 142 team plans to collaborate with company leadership to ensure that the terms of the new contract are clearly understood and implemented without delay.

“This contract delivers meaningful economic gains and important workplace protections,” said IAM District 142 President and Directing General Chair John M. Coveny, Jr. “It’s what our members fought for and what they have more than earned.”

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) stated its ongoing commitment to supporting its members through collective action and strong labor agreements.
