Registration has opened for the 2026 Veteran’s Advocate Training, organized by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Veteran Services Department. The training will take place from February 8 to 13, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland. Interested members must register by Monday, December 15, 2025.

The program is designed to provide IAM members with training on U.S. Veterans Affairs benefits. Certified professionals will conduct the sessions. Members who complete the course will join the IAM-wide Veteran Service Officer (VSO) team, which supports IAM members who are U.S. military veterans.

According to the department, “Through this course, members acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to assist veterans in navigating the often-complex VA benefits system, ensuring that our brothers and sisters who served receive the support, resources, and respect they deserve.”

Details regarding tuition costs, transportation arrangements, and curriculum information are included in a call letter distributed by IAM.

Members interested in attending can register using the Departmental Program Registration Form provided by IAM.

For additional information or questions about registration or program details, individuals may contact the IAM Veteran Services Department at 301-967-4500.
