The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has announced that its 2026 IAM Scholarship Competition will open for applications on October 1, 2025. The competition is available to IAM members who have maintained two years of continuous service, as well as their children who are current high school seniors in the United States and Canada. Applications will be accepted online until Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

Applicants can access the online application forms, competition rules, and additional information through the IAM Scholarship Competition page. Official calls and eligibility details are available in both English and French.

For the previous year’s competition, more than 300 individuals applied, resulting in the awarding of 16 scholarships valued at $4,000 each to IAM members and their children. The program also includes a vocational-technical two-year scholarship option.

The IAM Scholarship Fund was established by delegates at the 1960 IAM Grand Lodge Convention and is used solely to provide these awards.

“You can learn more and apply online at the IAM Scholarship website.”
