IAM offers confidential assistance programs for members during holiday season

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has announced its ongoing support for members and their families during the holiday season, a period that can present emotional challenges for many.

In a statement, the IAM expressed its well wishes to members: “As we move through the holiday season, we wish every member and their families a happy holidays. We support you, your family, and your loved ones through what can be a challenging time.”

The union reminded members that it provides two separate Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), which offer confidential support at any time of day or night.

Additionally, the IAM highlighted other resources available to those in need. The National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is accessible by dialing 988. Individuals may also text 988 or visit 988lifeline.org for help via text message. In emergencies where life is at risk, individuals are advised to call 911.
