IAM members working at Greyhound have ratified a new three-year collective bargaining agreement that brings wage increases, improved benefits, and additional career advancement opportunities for workers nationwide.

The contract provides general wage increases of 3.75% in the first year, 3.5% in the second year, and 3.25% in the third year. Health and welfare contributions will rise over the term of the agreement but will maintain the current cost share split for the IAM Healthcare Plan.

Additional changes include a revised vacation schedule with lower service requirements, higher CDL premiums, an increased tool allowance, a $50 reimbursement for prescription safety glasses, open enrollment aligned with contract renewal, and a new pay structure recognizing Junior Master and Master Technicians with premium pay for ASE certifications above journeyman rates.

“This was a challenging negotiation due to Greyhound’s transition to its new parent company Flix SE, but our team secured the best contract to date for our members,” said IAM Automotive Director Craig Hughes. “I want to thank IAM leadership for expanding our department and bringing on Special Representative Heather Hildebrand. Heather did an outstanding job leading these negotiations for the first time.”

Hildebrand also commented on her experience leading the negotiations: “Our members stood strong, and we delivered real gains in pay, benefits, and career opportunities,” said Hildebrand. “It was an honor to lead this negotiation alongside such a committed bargaining committee. This agreement reflects the strength of IAM members at Greyhound and the value they bring to the company every day.”
