Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Tami Pierce to serve as judge of the 180th Judicial District Court in Harris County. Her term will last until December 31, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified.

Pierce, who lives in Humble, is an attorney and owns the Pierce Law Firm located in Kingwood. She has experience working as an assistant district attorney in Polk, San Jacinto, and Liberty counties. Pierce is affiliated with the Texas State Bar, American Bar Association, and the Texas Bar Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Northeast Louisiana University and her Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
