Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Scott Olguin to the Texas Real Estate Commission. Olguin’s term will last until January 31, 2031. The Texas Real Estate Commission is responsible for protecting the public in transactions involving real estate brokers and salespersons.

Olguin is currently vice president at Dimensional Fund Advisors. His previous experience includes serving as a firefighter with the Sunrise Beach Volunteer Fire Department and working as a director for the Central Texas Electric Cooperative. He also served in the Texas State Guard, receiving an honorable discharge in 2010.
