Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Neyma Figueroa to the Texas Energy Reliability Council. Her term will last at the Governor’s discretion. The council is responsible for ensuring that the state’s energy and electric sectors meet essential human needs, address infrastructure concerns, and improve coordination within these industries.
Neyma Figueroa is based in San Antonio and works as an attorney and senior counsel at Valero Energy Corporation. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and The William N. Sessions American Inn of Court. Figueroa also volunteers with organizations such as the Valero Texas Open, San Antonio Academy, and First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from New Mexico State University and earned her Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law.
