Governor Greg Abbott has announced a new round of appointments to various positions across Texas.

Ashley Wysocki has been appointed as Judge of the 301st Judicial District Court in Dallas County. Her term will last until December 31, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified.

For the Gulf Coast Protection District (GCPD) Board of Directors, Abbott reappointed Roger Guenther and named him chair. Sally Bakko, Michel Bechtel, Sharon Hulgan, and Lori Traweek were also reappointed to the board. Their terms are set to expire on June 16, 2029. The GCPD is responsible for overseeing coastal resilience efforts along the upper Texas coast.

Robert Rucker was appointed as Injured Employee Public Counsel for a term ending February 1, 2027. The Public Counsel assists injured employees in the Workers’ Compensation system by managing the ombudsman program and advocating for their interests.
