This week, Governor Greg Abbott announced new appointments to the Texas Board of Criminal Justice. Martin Garza was appointed, while Faith Johnson and Sichan Siv were reappointed for terms that will end on February 1, 2031. The Board is responsible for overseeing the confinement, supervision, rehabilitation, and reintegration of individuals convicted of felonies in Texas.
Governor Abbott has led the Office of Texas Governor since his election in 2014.
