Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Kenneth Cusick as the new Galveston County Criminal District Attorney. Cusick will serve in this role until December 31, 2026, or until a successor is elected and qualified.
Cusick, who resides in Dickinson, currently works as an assistant U.S. attorney for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Texas. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1990. Cusick is also a member of the State Bar of Texas. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law.
