Governor Greg Abbott has announced new appointments to key positions in Texas state boards this week.
JoMeka Gray has been appointed to the State Board for Educator Certification. Her term will run until February 1, 2031. The board is responsible for developing certification and continuing education requirements, as well as standards of conduct for public school teachers.
Paloma Ahmadi has been named to the Texas Southern University Board of Regents. Her term is set to expire on February 1, 2029.
