Governor Greg Abbott has appointed four individuals to the Texas Municipal Retirement System Board of Trustees. Bryan Langley and Isaac Tawil have been named to the board for terms ending February 1, 2031. Jaime Reyes, II and Pamela Williams have been appointed for terms ending February 1, 2027. The board is responsible for overseeing the Texas Municipal Retirement System, which manages retirement benefits for employees in more than 800 cities across the state.
Bryan Langley is the city manager for Kyle. He is involved with the Texas City Management Association and the International City/County Management Association. Langley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Texas, as well as a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Isaac Tawil serves as city manager for McAllen and is a member of the State Bar of Texas. Tawil earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University.
Jaime Reyes, II is the assistant fire chief for Plano. He is affiliated with several organizations, including the Plano Firefighters Association, Texas State Association of Firefighters, Texas Fire Chiefs Association, and International Association of Fire Chiefs. Reyes holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Texas A&M University and a Master of Public Administration/Emergency Management from Sam Houston State University.
Pamela Williams, director of human resources for Abilene, is active with the Texas Municipal Human Resource Association, International City/County Management Association, Society for Human Resource Management, and serves on the board for United Way. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Texas A&M University and a Master of Science from Abilene Christian University.
“The Board oversees the Texas Municipal Retirement System, which is responsible for providing a secure retirement benefit plan for eligible employees of more than 800 cities,” according to the office of Governor Abbott.
