Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Brady Franks to the Texas Water Development Board. Franks will serve a term that ends on February 1, 2031. The Texas Water Development Board is responsible for providing leadership and support in the development and management of water resources in Texas.

Franks is currently the State Budget Director in the Office of the Governor. His previous experience includes co-founding and serving as chief executive at MF Advisors, working as director of government relations at the University of Texas at Austin, and holding several positions in the Texas House of Representatives over a ten-year period. He was also Senior Budget and Policy Advisor to the Speaker of the House.

Franks holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government, a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning, and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin.
