Registration is now open for members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) to attend the 55th International Convention of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU). The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, located at 265 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.

The CBTU Convention serves as a national gathering for trade unionists to discuss important labor issues. At last year’s convention, IAM members participated in sessions focused on organizing, conflict resolution, leadership development, building power within unions, and exchanging strategies to support both their own union and the wider labor movement.

A special group rate for CBTU attendees has been set at $185 per night at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Taxes are not included in this rate. To secure this price, hotel reservations must be made by April 24, 2026. A deposit equivalent to one night’s stay is required when booking; this deposit can be refunded if cancellation occurs by April 15, 2026. After April 24, rooms may still be booked based on availability but could be subject to higher rates.

Attendees are encouraged to reserve rooms using the official CBTU booking link. Reservations can also be made by phone at 1-877-803-7534 with reference to CBTU; however, online booking is preferred.
