Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) has announced the appointment of Ryan Arens, JD, as its new Chief Strategy Officer and General Counsel. In this position, Arens will collaborate with ARC’s executive team to guide strategic initiatives and partnerships. He will also manage health plan relationships, oversee the real estate portfolio, and lead the compliance, risk, and legal teams.
Arens previously served as Vice President and General Counsel at ARC for four years. Since joining the organization in 2021, he has contributed to its strategic growth by renegotiating health plan contracts to support value-based care and expanding service offerings to include ambulatory surgery centers and advanced radiology.
Anas Daghestani, MD, President and CEO of ARC, stated: “Ryan has a proven track record supporting our vision, as seen through our recent expansions in services and locations, and his leadership over the last four years. We are excited to see him grow in his role as we continue to make strategic decisions that benefit our patients and all of ARC.”
Before joining ARC, Arens held leadership roles at other healthcare organizations such as an independent medical group, Wake Forest University’s academic medical center, and a major health plan network serving the Carolinas and Virginia.
“This is an exciting time for ARC as we expand on our promise of coordinated, comprehensive, accessible healthcare,” said Arens. “I look forward to working with our teams to ensure ARC remains the leading health care provider for Central Texas.”
