iHeartMedia and The Black Effect Podcast Network have announced the launch of a new podcast titled “If You Knew Better,” hosted by entertainment executive Amber Grimes. The show will focus on themes such as personal growth, reinvention, setbacks, and strategies for success in both personal and professional spheres.

The Black Effect Podcast Network is known for amplifying Black voices across various sectors including culture, business, and entertainment. Amber Grimes expressed her enthusiasm about joining the network: “The Black Effect is on a mission to amplify the voices of Black women, and I’m so honored to be one of the voices they believe in.”

Dollie S. Bishop, President of The Black Effect Podcast Network, highlighted the platform’s goals with this addition: “We firmly believe in the power of authentic dialogue from authentic voices. ‘If You Knew Better’ embodies our commitment to creating content that not only inspires but equips our listeners with the tools and information they need to grow and evolve with intention.”

Grimes explained her motivation for launching the podcast: “I created ‘If You Knew Better’ because I recognize many of us are navigating growth and big life transitions without real mentorship or honest conversations. The show is built around the belief that experience is the best teacher. Whether it’s a solo episode or a conversation with a guest, we take lived experience, extract the lessons, and turn them into practical tools.”

Amber Grimes has previously served as Executive Vice President and General Manager at Love Renaissance (LVRN), where she played a key role in expanding the label’s influence globally. She managed daily operations, marketing strategy, and revenue generation for artists such as Summer Walker, 6Lack, Belly Gang Kushington, Odeal, and TxC.

Grimes has also been recognized for her advocacy work promoting diversity and inclusion within the music industry. She has supported equitable opportunities for Black women in executive roles.

On “If You Knew Better,” Grimes will share insights alongside guests from creative industries who discuss their own experiences with mistakes made and lessons learned throughout their careers.

Episodes will be available on the iHeartRadio app as well as other major podcast streaming platforms. More information about the show can be found on its official page: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1119-if-you-knew-better-with-a-324583554
