The Alamo Colleges District marked the end of the Fall 2025 semester by expanding its commencement ceremonies, giving more students the chance to be recognized as they complete their studies.

For the first time, San Antonio College and Northwest Vista College held fall commencement ceremonies in December. Previously, St. Philip’s College was the only institution within the district to host two commencements annually. The addition of these new ceremonies is a response to higher enrollment numbers and an increase in students earning degrees and credentials throughout the year.

The Alamo Colleges District consists of five colleges: San Antonio College, Northwest Vista College, Northeast Lakeview College, St. Philip’s College, and Palo Alto College. Together, these institutions serve nearly 90,000 students across the San Antonio area.

St. Philip’s College celebrated its 153rd Commencement Ceremony on December 10. During this event, the college awarded its first bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity. This marks a significant step in providing more educational options that are aligned with workforce needs.
